JET PUMP BOTTOM-HOLE ASSEMBLY (A.K.A. BHA or Cavity)

The BHA (or cavity) can be described as a specialized, made-to-a specific purpose ported sub. The BHA is a ported sub that holds the "free style or hydraulic retrieval" jet pump and standing valve. The BHA is a component of the tubing string, and it is installed above the packer. The jet pump BHA functions are: provide a no-go ring to hold the standing valve; provide a flow path that communicates the inner tubing and the annulus; and provide seal-bore areas for the jet pump and standing valve to isolating the three pressure chambers: power fluid, jet pump suction, and discharge.
